Our lives have been forever changed because Jesus came alongside us in life. He opened our eyes and set our hearts on fire with the good news we always longed to hear and understand. We couldn’t keep this to ourselves so we founded JourneyMates.
We are companions on this journey, confident a generous Jesus has more for us all.
In the wake of Jesus’ death and rumored resurrection, two devastated disciples took a seven mile walk on the Emmaus Road. They left Jerusalem, leaving their hope for peace behind. They set out into a future filled with fear and anxiety.
A stranger joined them on their journey and slowly revealed himself to them as he explained the mystery of the messiah.
When they arrived in Judea, the stranger broke bread with them–their eyes opened. Of course, this was Jesus, sparking their memories and stoking their imaginations.
Surprise! Now everything has meaning. The Prince of Peace walks with us again.
Then he vanished, but not before he kindled hope to set fire to hearts everywhere. The disciples ran back to Jerusalem to share their story with others.
